LAGAWE, Ifugao– The Provincial Peace and Council (PPOC) and two mayors of the province manifested their support for House Bill No. 6875 or the Anti-Terrorism Bill.
The PPOC chaired by Governor Jerry Dalipog passed a manifesto in support of the Anti-terrorism Act of 2020 that will address the effect of terrorism causing problems and disregarding and sacrificing the rights of people.
“Aming ipinapahayag and aming taos-pusong pagsuporta sa nasabing panukalang batas at bilang miyembro ng pamahalaan, hinihikayat naming bawat isa sa aming nasasakupan ay yakapain at supportahan ang nasabing batas para sa sambahayang Pilipino at sa mga susunod pang henerasyon,” the manifesto stated.
Meanwhile, Tinoc Mayor Samson Benito said the increasing rate of terrorism in the country has been alarming and as a public servant, he vowed to uphold the constitution which declares the prime duty of the government to serve and protect its people.
“I, therefore, with the people of Tinoc strongly support the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020. Together we shall not drown in desperation but rather stand with high hopes and confidence that when we work together as one, we can live in a terrorist-free country,” Benito stated,
