Valencerina challenges police officers to ‘walk-the-talk’

The journey towards transformation is the building block to peace and development for generations to come, Brigadier General Cheston Valencerina said as he challenged police governance proficiency awardees to walk the talk.
Valencerina, Philippine Military Academy (PMA) head of Academics Group, was the guest of honor and speaker during the the Police Regional Office – Cordillera (PROCOR) Performance Governance System (PGS) Proficiency Stage conferment ceremony at Camp Bado Dangwa here.
The awards speak of excellence in the service, and reflective of your task and your calling. The journey towards transformation is the building block to peace and development for generations to come,” Valencerina said.
“To the chiefs of police and company commanders who received the awards in representation of their units, this shall be a burden of success as you are now obligated to precede your reputations which is “walk-the-talk” to lead your units irrespective of what you have attained,” he said.
He urged the police to strive for exceptional service towards the goal of becoming a world-class police as envisioned in the Philippine National Police’s Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding of the Rule of Law (P.A.T.R.O.L.) Plan 2030.
Valencerina noted that the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the PNP share similarities as to how they perform their service. “Ours is a noble profession and selfless endeavor which we call transformation roadmap based on honor, service and patriotism as our core values. We both live and die for our people and country as we both embrace it as duty and honor.
Valencerina together with PRO-Cor Regional Director BGen Ephraim Dickson led the conferment awards to Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) namely Gold Eagle Award for Station 1, 3, 6 8, and Silver Eagle Award for Stations 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 and the City Mobile Force Company.
Awardees for Apayao were the Apayao Province Police Office (PPO), and the municipal police stations (MPS) of Calanasan, Flora, Luna and Pudtol that received the Silver Eagle award.
