LAGAWE, IFUGAO- – The Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC) is finally closing the chapter on the lack of an ecological park with an amphitheater in Ifugao’s public schools that brought about dissatisfaction of the people after it infused Php 5 million for the construction of the educational cultural ecological park at Lamut Central School.
Thus, the school is set to become not just a vital landscape for learning but also for ecological construction.
“This partnership allows us to deliver world-class facility and make them more accessible to the young. At the same time, it helps in prudently protect their welfare through a timely investment that further strengthens our already promising population,” retired BGen Fernando Zabat told ZigZag Weekly. He is the president of the PAFCPIC.
“Ultimately this is about providing meaningful benefits to all our stakeholders, while actively contributing to nation-building,” he added.
The site is situated at an idle portion of the school quite near the gymnasium.
Completion of the landmark project is within six months.
The eco-park will also host, aside from, the province’s first amphitheater, waste segregation and composting units, comfort rooms, seating areas, reading nooks, display boards, learning stations, garden beds, drainage system and gazebos.
All are intended to enhance the overall thrusts of the education sector, in general, and the objectives of the school now with a growing student population.
Certainly, the noteworthy actions by the Lamut Central School, in collaboration with the PAFCPIC, are aligned not only with what it has promised to the Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Alumni Association and others in the community, but with what the people actually want.
The investment of the PAFCPIC made here this year will reap immense dividends in the coming years.
Participants thanked Zabat and commended him for his unwavering dedication to educators and learners. A Lamut barangay official said his faith in God is truly remarkable.
In time, Zabat became a major pillar of upgrading the conditions of this sector. Earlier, the PAFCPIC constructed a school building in Tinoc, Ifugao.
