“ Newborns may signal the coming of a new generation, but they need to be taught about the beauty of life, because they themselves already showed us one of life’s beautiful parts.“

One of the things I look forward to, living with several stubborn, comedic and weird dogs, are the small pups that eventually pop out after their “heat” season. The little fellas always shine with innocence and eradicates any negativity that swirls inside us. They are like sponge that absorbs stress but squeezes out positivity to everyone around them. They may eat less food but their dungs are just about everywhere for the first few months. Each step has to be calculated when going home, especially when darkness mask all the small bombs around.
The blooming of life as I first saw the small rat-like puppies, felt eye-opening. Just like that, life is born to our world, in this earth where it can be cruel at times, or give you moments that you will always treasure.
A mother’s love could already be seen as our dog huddled around her babies and shielded them. Fed them on the day and well into the night. Her children can’t open their eyes yet, but I could see the familiar instinct of a mother, the same as a human mom’s for her new-born.
Speculation quickly swirled within the household as to which one of them would be the biggest. What would their personalities be? Which one of them will grow the smallest and be bullied? All sorts of questions arose and theirs will surely be a wonderful journey as those questions start to be answered.
The coming of the new generation eventually reminded me of the inevitable passing of the previous. The cycle must continue and just as life blooms suddenly, death can quickly swoop in. The journeys for some of our five dogs are nearing their end, for others, they are in the midst of it, for these newborn, their paths are already laid down, untouched and without any footsteps.
It can be overwhelming when we start to deal with more of life’s issues. Down the winding road always awaits a new problem, a new hideous troll like in the story books. Except, our story is a novel we don’t know when it will end.
Better to appreciate then the beautiful parts of our lives, no matter how few, for beauty is simply a good thing to be near it.
Pleasing to all senses and to everyone around. That mindset to be closer to all things positive will always be wisdom that need to be spread to others.
Newborns may signal the coming of a new generation, but they need to be taught about the beauty of life, because they themselves already showed us one of life’s beautiful parts.**
