By Shawn Marc B. Carreon

It was as though the winds have
lushed to winter,
The days of summer have faded
and have fallen softer.
Like a straight path with legs
in shambles,
To strive to walk at the end I stumble.

Today seems too beautiful for it
to be true,
As yesterday’s events still linger
to this day.
The sun remains to shine so graceful through days,
As the clouds hug and cover
her beautiful face.

Yesterday felt like I forgot
something behind,
It was me all along, still continuing
despite such times.
Tomorrow is yet again to play
until the end,
As today’s present becomes
yesterday’s friend.**
