BENGUET COPS ERADICATE 3,500 PIECES OF MARIJUANA PLANTS IN KIBUNGAN
The Cabalyero cops of the Benguet Police Provincial Office burned 3,500 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) during the successful marijuana eradication operation conducted in Kibungan, Benguet, on September 11, 2024.
According to reports from the Regional Operations Division, a collaborative effort involving operatives from the Kibungan Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Division, and the Land Transport Interdiction Unit of PDEA-CAR resulted in the discovery of a marijuana plantation site planted with 3,500 pieces of FGMJP with a Standard Drug Price of PhP700,000.00 in Sitio Aninito, Brgy. Tacadang.
All discovered marijuana plants were uprooted and burned onsite, with sufficient samples taken for submission to the Regional Forensic Unit-CAR.
The Benguet cops are continuously enhancing their campaign against illegal drugs across various areas of the province, and they are actively collaborating with local residents to continue supporting the PNP’s anti-illegal drugs campaign to ensure a safer environment for everyone.
PRO CAR recognize six deserving personnel for their notable
accomplishments
Recognizing their contributions and notable accomplishments in the PNP’s anti-criminality campaign, six PRO-CAR cops were awarded during the traditional Monday flag-raising ceremony held at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 9, 2024.
The six deserving personnel received their awards from the PRO-CAR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR, along with the members of the command group.
The Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) was awarded to PMAJ JAMES ALLEN S DOGAO and PSMS Ramil B Binwag from the Baguio City Police Office for their exceptional service in executing a warrant of arrest on May 6, 2024. Their operation led to the arrest of an individual listed among the Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personalities in connection with a violation of Article II, Section 5 of R.A. 9165, which took place in Tabora St., Trancoville, Baguio City.
Similarly, PCPT JOWIE T MARTINEZ and PMSg Padilan P Supanga from the Apayao Police Provincial Office received the same award for their successful execution of a warrant of arrest on April 12, 2024. This operation led to the arrest of a suspect listed as the Number 7 Most Wanted Person at the Regional Level for the 2nd Quarter of CY 2024, in connection with a robbery with homicide case in San Juan, Santa Marcela, Apayao.
Meanwhile, Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) was given to PCOL ARNOLD D RAZOTE and PCMS Angelita B Botiwtiw from the Regional Personnel and Record Management Division (RPRMD) for their outstanding contributions to PRO-CAR’s administrative initiatives. Their efforts led to RPRMD achieving the top rank in the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management Division UPER for July 2024. **
