When we sink too deep in a routine, we have our interests and hobbies to thank for getting us out. A day can be so lifeless, I feel, if it is just like yesterday. And not everyone has struck gold yet and get to do what they love as a job. We can be so scared of change but sometimes, something different can give life the spice it needs.
The day to day can get stale quickly when the flavors of life are taken out. The unexpected becomes extinct, we get spoiled of what life brings next. Going through life in a motion wastes time and opportunities for us. It takes the fire out of our eyes, and the will to discover and try something new fizzles out.
A bit of stability can be good for everyone. 24/7 of rampant events can’t be too healthy. Perhaps we might even come to regret a life of adventures in favor of a calm and peaceful one. I personally swing between each side when life gets too peaceful or too hectic. Even unexpected events become the expected when they pop out too much.
But we did come out of the womb not in a peaceful manner but almost certainly in a state of crying and shock. That goes for the people around too. We were born fighting already. Only later came the peaceful sleeping part.
It is our default setting to crawl, walk, then run in the same direction, forward. To be ambitious has been within us all since we were born. If we were all content since day 1, then we would have never tried to crawl or make trouble for people around us with curiosity. Each day had always been one filled with wonder.
Only events later in life bring the cold winds to tame the burning ambition within us all. Whether it is the lack of opportunities or monetary reasons, not everyone faces a road clear of obstacles. A paved road brings someone to their destination quickly, but life is long and our respective journeys offer much more beyond with bumps and potholes along the way.
To lay down is a relaxing feeling. Though next time we must try once more and have a go at life. We tried crawling once then all of a sudden we were running all over the place.
To try and fail and try again, is a formula that has been tried and tested by ourselves. We are where we are because we tried. Courage seems so far in some days we feel dejected and defeated, but it comes to us as natural as fish on bait when we try again.
Games have the option to try again if you fail. Life can’t be more simple than a game to not have that option too. **
