What’s the good news? The infrastructure development program of Governor Jerry Dalipog is on track to hit its mid-2025 target.
Giving the same attention and resources to vital projects in two key sites, Ifugao folks- from the public and private sector witnessed the well-attended inauguration of mid-to-high-rise buildings that, many observers say, will provide “modern” outlook to the people. It all occurred on May 2 and 5, thus folks will no longer have to wait for more years- or maybe decades to see the engineers’ and architects’ rendition of these buildings come to life.
The just-inaugurated multipurpose building of the Ifugao provincial government in Lagawe, has everything you need to get a glimpse how it operates in order to deliver fundamental services to the people.
Also described as the “new” capitol building, the project means a lot for the province and its inhabitants and is truly the best thing Governor Dalipog can do for his constituents.
“We consider it our responsibility to improve the conditions of our people. As we continue with this long journey, we will continue finding ways to upgrade operations, and offer choices that will help our people take part in building local economies,” Dalipog said.
“This is a reaffirmation of our commitment to accelerate the province’s development efforts,” he added.
Governor Dalipog has been pursuing vibrant and master-planned projects at Ifugao’s 11 towns that elevate the quality of life for folks while fostering economic growth. Any folk would be appreciative of his efforts.
The Php 250 million building will provide multi-use modern lifestyle- enhancing features consisting of sleek and spacious offices for the executive and legislative branches and others as well as convenient multi-level parking area.
This development is truly commendable. It is timely and responsive to the fast-changing times. For his part, Vice Governor Glenn Prudenciano said the “development of large-scale, well-planned government buildings as this one has transformed this part of Barangay Poblacion South into self-sustaining hub.” “It has not only elevated the quality of life but also driven economic growth and steers strong sense of community” he told the ZigZag Weekly in an exclusive interview.
That’s just how much the vice governor cares for the people. “The continued well-being of the people is our priority” he stressed. “The sense of empowerment it builds among marginalized communities has been my biggest strength,” he quipped.
Actually, this building caught the attention of many for quite some time. Yes, they noticed its size and design. Finally, it’s here, a world-class building! In other provinces, capitol buildings have dual-flush toilets and low-energy consumption lighting.
So far the eyes are on the offices. Surely, the offices must be well-equipped and well-represented to ensure that each is accountable to this special purpose allotment. Digitalized processes matter too, as needs are helpful to folks with faster, efficient and corruption-free faced transactions.
Ensuring this project and others are not only sufficient but also sustainable project engineers Mark Jade Bandao, Jackson Dumapi and Jonathan Padduyao showed their ability to make things happen through sheer hard work and undeniable passion for innovation. It is meant to be shared for everyone, most especially the young.
They hope too, that through their efforts in these locations, they will encourage other flagship programs so this feat doesn’t become a singular project endeavor. So worry no more because they’re around. Surely, Governor Dalipog is grateful for their invaluable contributions.
Also at the blessing rites at the mammoth Ifugao Sports Complex – where a number of essential facilities such as the museum and food terminal are situated, Vice Governor Prudenciano motioned : If we continue to build good infrastructure network that enable people to thrive, we’ll continue to be among the forerunners of proactive governance. “This is surely another testament of his exceptional leadership in propelling growth and development in the grassroots level.”
This latest initiative is a clear manifestation of the timeless efforts of Governor Dalipog, Vice Governor Prudenciano and Rep. Solomon Chungalao to support local government units in their pursuit of sustainable socio-economic growth through infrastructure development. These projects indeed present an opportunity for them in the next three years to lead with greater determination.
Personnel are about to move out of the present building. Which brings us to the question, So what lies ahead? Let’s see. An empty antiquated building and the Php 555 million Landbank of the Philippines loan loom large ahead. The executive top brass can always intervene- sell it or rent it! Address it quickly just like answering the query: How do you really eliminate the mounting poverty problem? **
