TABUK CITY, Kalinga (PIA) — The municipality of Tanudan is gearing up to officially launch Tawang Falls in sitio Cabugao, Barangay Pangol as a tourism site through a fund run.
Set for November 22, 2025, the “Stride for a Cause: Running with Purpose- Tanudan Run 2025” is a chance to enjoy the beautiful sceneries of Tanudan, while also contributing to the improvement of the town’s tourism.
Organizers said the event is open to participants aged 15 and older, and features 21 kilometers, 12km, and 6km categories with registration fees of P600, P1,200, and P1,600, respectively.
“All routes will traverse roads passing through the scenic mountains of Pagugo, Bawac, Darulog, Ammaboy, Magtoma, Baccong, Liyang, and Sitio Cabugao, showcasing the natural beauty of Tanudan,” said Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Ross Dagadag.
Dagadag said the running event aims to raise funds for the construction of a “nature-like” male and female toilet at the tourist site as part of the municipality’s efforts to promote sustainable tourism, environmental preservation, and community development.
“At the finish line, participants will enjoy Tanudan delicacies, unlimited local coffee, and a short program featuring the ribbon-cutting of Tawang Falls, groundbreaking of the eco-toilet facility, and a tree planting activity,” Dagadag said.
Registration for the Tanudan Run 2025 is open until November 15, 2025 through https://bit.ly/tanudanrun2025.
Tawang Falls became popular among locals earlier this year for its beautiful setting and clear waters, making it a great spot for swimming.
The tourist site is a 30-40-minute ride from Tabuk City via the Cudal–Lay-asan to Pangol route. **IOS-PIA CAR, Kalinga
