PRO CAR Nabs 38 Wanted Personalities in Weeklong Manhunt Ops; 57 Municipalities Report Zero Crime
A weeklong anti-criminality operation across the region has yielded significant results, with the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) apprehending 38 wanted individuals, while 57 municipalities recorded zero crime incidents from March 1 to 7, 2026.
According to the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) led the manhunt operations with 22 arrests. This was followed by the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) with eight arrests, the Abra and Kalinga PPOs with three arrests each, and the Apayao and Ifugao PPOs with one arrest each.
Among those arrested, three individuals were classified as Most Wanted Persons, one listed at the Regional Level and two at the Municipal Level.
Concurrently, intensified police visibility and community cooperation led to a remarkable week of peace, with 57 municipalities and two police stations in Baguio City reporting zero crime incidents. A breakdown shows 25 crime-free municipalities in Abra, nine in Ifugao, eight in Mountain Province, six in Benguet, five in Apayao, and four in Kalinga, while in Baguio City, Police Station (PS) 1 and PS 8 also reported no crime incidents.
Also, for the week, PRO CAR achieved a 75.38% Crime Clearance Efficiency and a 70.77% Crime Solution Efficiency, reflecting PRO CAR’s sustained efforts in crime response and resolution.
