Despite the inclement weather, TIEZA General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong led an inspection of the ongoing rehabilitation works at the Burnham Lake in Baguio City on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
The officials said that the rehabilitation of Burnham Lake is now approximately 80-percent complete and is set to be completed in August 2026. Also present during the inspection were reps from the Department of Tourism – Cordillera and the City Parks Management Office.
TIEZA also turned over three Tourist First Aid Booths to the city government of Baguio which are placed at the Burnham Park, Botanical Garden and Bayan Park and very visible to the public to provide immediate emergency medical assistance linked to the Baguio City command center.
