A nationwide tribute honoring over two million public servants takes center stage this September as the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) unveils a packed, month-long slate of events championing wellness, camaraderie, and public service excellence.
This year’s celebration is centered on the theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” and underscores the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) push for a modern, people-centered, and values-driven bureaucracy.
It highlights the core campaign message, “Pinalakas na Puso, Pinatatag na Dangal, Pinatibay na Galing Para sa Makabagong Lingkod Bayan.”
Throughout September, government agencies and personnel across the country can take part in various activities aimed at recognizing civil servants, promoting employee wellness, fostering agency collaboration, and driving public service excellence.
These include the nationwide fun run on 13 September, Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan 2026 offering job fairs and frontline government services, Himig Lingkod Bayani musical showcase, and the Pagpupugay: Parangal sa Lingkod Bayani awards ceremony.
The CSC is urging all government institutions to take an active role by organizing local activities that boost camaraderie, heighten employee engagement, and renew each worker’s commitment to public service.
The annual celebration was established on 19 September 1900, with the passage of Public Law No. 5 (An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands).
The observance was officially designated as a month-long event under Presidential Proclamation No. 1050 (s. 1997), directing all government agencies to participate in CSC-led activities.
