PROCAR honors four awardees for exemplary crime prevention efforst
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) honored four individuals for their exemplary contributions to crime prevention and community service during the Awarding of Personnel for the 2026 National Crime Prevention Excellence Award and the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. 2026 Search for Outstanding Filipinos Award for the Junior PNCO Category held at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 21, 2026.
The ceremony was graced by Hon. Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, Representative of the Lone District of Apayao, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
PBGEN NOEL B VALLO, Regional Director of PRO CAR, led the conferment of PNP medals and plaques of recognition to the four awardees in recognition of their outstanding contributions to crime prevention and community service.
A Medalya ng Katangitanging Gawa (PNP Outstanding Achievement Medal) was conferred on PMSg Dwight Alexis B Supsupin of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 for being an individual awardee in the 2026 Search for Outstanding Filipinos Awards for Police Officers of the Metrobank Foundation, Inc., under the Police Non-Commissioned Officer Category.
Meanwhile, three individuals were recognized through the 2026 Gawad Ligtas na Pamayanan: NAPOLCOM National Crime Prevention Excellence Awards, in celebration of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week.
Hon. Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang received a Plaque of Recognition for her invaluable support in the implementation of the “Apayao Anti-Abuse Council Converging Towards Humanitarian Action and Oneness.”
PCOL DIONISIO D BONOY, Provincial Director, Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), was recognized for his invaluable support in the implementation of “Oplan Ultimate Grass Cutter.”
PCPT ANTHONY P BUNOAN of the Tinoc Municipal Police Station, Ifugao PPO, was likewise recognized for his invaluable support in the implementation of the “Junior Police Program,” which earned 2nd Place nationwide.
In her message, Hon. Bulut-Begtang encouraged public servants and community partners to take an active role in protecting vulnerable sectors, particularly women and children.
“Let us not wait for another child, another woman, or even our own child, our own wife, our own sister, or our own mother to cry for help. This is our duty, our responsibility, and our mandate. Let us make it our personal commitment to keep every child, every woman, and every person safe and protected. Beyond all titles, positions and professions, my dear fellow public servants, this is humanity. Let us help them heal, let us help them rise. I-ahon po natin sila,” Hon. Bulut-Begtang said.
The program concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation to Hon. Bulut-Begtang in recognition of her inspiring presence and valuable contributions as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
