Highlighting the vital role of collaboration among the police, local government units (LGUs), and communities in sustaining peace and order, the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR), PBGEN NOEL B VALLO, participated in the Audit-Based Recognition for Accountability (ABRA) Awards 2026 held at the Atrium, Provincial Capitol, in Bangued, Abra, on October 30, 2026.
The event was organized by the Provincial Government of Abra through the Provincial Peace and Order Council, in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Abra, as part of the province’s celebration of Local Government Month.
The ABRA Awards 2026 recognized outstanding Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOCs) based on validated, audit-based performance assessments, highlighting their commitment to transparency, accountability, effective governance, and excellence in public service.
In his message, PBGEN VALLO emphasized that maintaining peace and order is not the responsibility of the police alone but a shared commitment that calls for the active participation of LGUs, partner agencies, and the community.
“Kapag nagtutulungan ang PNP, ang lokal na pamahalaan, at ang mamamayan, mas nagiging matatag ang ating seguridad at mas tumitibay ang tiwala ng publiko sa pamahalaan. Peace and order is not the responsibility of one institution alone; it is a shared commitment that requires all of us to work toward a common goal,” he added.
Also present during the ceremony were Abra Governor Eustaquio “Takit” P. Bersamin, Abra Police Provincial Office Provincial Director PCOL CHARLES L. DOMALLIG, and DILG-Abra Provincial Director Kristoffer Dave R. Alvarez, together with other provincial and municipal officials and stakeholders.
