Adding a touch of nostalgia, the much-anticipated Recognition of Alumni Golden Jubilarians, Class ’75, provided former students an opportunity to reconnect with one another, their Alma Mater, and their beloved teachers, including Glory Taclawan, Mr. Venancio Butay, Mrs. Remedios Fanglayan, and Mrs. Catherine Salimbay. Dr. Brigit Piok, a member of the class, fondly recounted cherished memories from their student days in her privilege speech.
As Easter College marks another year of transformative education, the institution remains steadfast in its mission to nurture future leaders equipped with knowledge, values, and a heart for service.
It can be recalled that Easter College, formerly Easter School, started with eight Igorot boys from Bontoc, Mountain Province. They were brought to the city by The Rt. Rev. Charles Henry Brent, an American missionary, on Easter Sunday of 1906, hence the name Easter School.
