ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY: Representatives from the different offices of the Besao Local Government Unit (LGU) to include the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, Municipal Engineer and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office recently visited the Solid Waste Management Facility (SWMF) of the Municipality of Bontoc located at Am-ancho, Barangay Bontoc Ili. It is also where the Temporary Residual Containment Area (TRCA), composting area, and bottle/plastic shredding areas are located. Part of their site visit was to see the physical structure and operation of the Solid Waste Management Facility which is hoped to be of great help to them in the formulation of their  plans on the establishment of their own SWMF.  The visitors were accompanied by the personnel of the Office of the Municipal Environment and the Natural Resources Officer of the Bontoc LGU.** Photo by Jovi T.
