4 Mtn. Prov. cops awarded Medalya ng Kadakilaan
Four personnel of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO) were recognized by Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) for their notable operational accomplishment during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on October 3, 2022.
PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO ASPERO BAZAR, presented the awards to the deserving personnel and he was assisted by the other members of the Command Group.
Medalya ng Kadakilaan (PNP Heroism Medal) was awarded to PLT BONIFACIO P FANGED, PSMS Ruben W. Aronchay, PSSg Didaco A. Fosawil, and PSSg Fredie L. Pasino of Sadanga Municipal Police Station (MPS) for their successful conduct of checkpoint operation that resulted in the arrest of two individuals and confiscation of dried marijuana bricks weighing more or less 64.283 kilos with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 7,713,960.00 at Sitio Ampawilen, Brgy. Poblacion, Sadanga.
19 drug personalities busted; P700K MJ crops eradicated
As the result of the continuous anti-illegal drug operations being conducted in the Cordillera Region, 19 drug personalities were arrested while Php 769,600.00 worth of marijuana plants were destroyed in the weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by PROCOR Cops from September 25 to October 1, 2022.
Citing the records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), for the week, Baguio City Police Office (CPO) has arrested seven (7) drug personalities while Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO), Benguet PPO, and Kalinga PPO arrested four (4) drug personalities each.
In Baguio City, the arrested personalities were identified as Michael Kevin Ayeras, 31; Tim Laranang, 28; Danilo Suguitan, 52; Ronald Espiritu, 35; Maria Lourdes Dapidap, 42; Lea Espiritu, 33; and Rufino Merrera, 37.
While in Abra, Benguet, and Kalinga the arrested drug personalities were identified as Josua Bayado, 27; Rolando Yag-ao, 32; Elpidio Linggayo, 35; Ersilias Baccoy, 36; Nelson Orong, 32; Roberto Berbal, 52; Alex Mendiola, 33; Edzel Samuel, 29; Edwin Baruzo, 33; Rowel Compas, 41; Darwin Aluyen, 23; and Allan Cariño, 33.
The weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted has resulted in the seizure of a total of 19.76 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 134,368.00 and the confiscation of a total of 38,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 4,560,000.00.
All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, the continuous marijuana eradication operations being conducted by PROCOR Cops have resulted in the destruction of a total of 668,000 pieces of Fully-Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMP) and 2,540 pieces of marijuana seedlings with a total SDP of Php 769,600.00 in Benguet.
Kalinga cops outreach program benefit 400 in Tinglayan
Joined with a common purpose to bring the government closer to the community, Kalinga cops under the leadership of the Acting Provincial Director, PCOL CHARLES DOMALLIG, together with the local government unit, various Medical practitioners, and other private sectors held an Outreach program reaching 400 residents in Tinglayan, Kalinga.
The activity which coincides with the 4th anniversary of the 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company and the anniversary of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi in Tinglayan, Kalinga, aims to give back to the community through an outreach program.
With the Medical Reserved Force of Kalinga PNP and some medical practitioners from various hospitals in the province, the team provided medical and dental consultations, tooth extraction, free circumcision, and other health services with free medicines given to the participating residents.
Apart from the medical services, other services were also offered like haircuts and body massage.
The joint outreach activity’s success, proves the PNP’s Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN or the Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan, when working together, peace and development in the community are within reach.
The PNP’s Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN is a Community Mobilization Program that highlights the synergized and collaborative partnership between the PNP and the general public through the intervention and help of the religious sector towards the goal of achieving a holistic transformation that involves the PNP and the community it serves and protects.**
