SM City Baguio launched the first rainwater treatment facility which aims to convert rainwater into potable water recently.
The rainwater treatment facility at SM City Baguio utilizes a rainwater tank with a capacity of 6,390 cubic meters. It is estimated to generate around 51,000 cubic meters of water annually, meeting approximately one-third of the mall’s yearly water consumption.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong represented by Executive Assistant VJ Cawis, EMB-CAR Regional Director Jean C. Borromeo SM officials led by Senior Vice President Bien Mateo and reps from the DOH-CAR and DOST-CAR led the untying of ribbon to formally launch the new innovative rainwater treatment facility at the SM City Baguio on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.** RMC PIA-CAR
