The Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) led the unveiling of the peace marker at the Philippine Military Academy on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
OPAPRU Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. with Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, PMA Superintendent LtGen. Rowen Tolentino, former senior military adviser MGen. Leo Cresente Ferrer, Marcelina Bahatan representing the Cordillera Bodong Administration (CBA) and Arsenio Humiding representing the Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army (CBLA) and Police Regional Office Cordillera Regional Director PBGen. David Peredo unveiled the peace marker in a ceremony at the Longayban Hall inside the Fort Del Pilar in Baguio City.
Galvez said that the peace marker which was installed at the Longayban Hall of the academy symbolizes the support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to the peace process in the Cordillera region particularly the GPH-CBA-CPLA peace process. He added that this will also remind Cordillerans and the peace partners and stakeholders of the significant events that transpired in the earlier stages of the GPH-CBA-CPLA peace process.**RMC-PIA CAR
