BENGUET– Some 300 new police recruits took their oath morning of February 1, 2017at the parade ground of Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Police Senior Supt. David Peredo, chief of the Regional Personnel Human Resource Development Division presented the batch composed of 240 males and 60 females given the rank of police officer 1 in a temporary status for a year.
Police Regional Office Cordillera, Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Elmo Francis Sarona administered the oath taking with PNP personnel, parents and relatives of the applicants.
In his speech, Sarona congratulated and thanked the parents of the applicants for allowing their children to enter the PNP government service.
“You will always be vigilant in safeguarding peace and order and in protecting the rights of every citizen. We hope to see you act as role models for the rest of the members of your units in the continuing search for security and stability and in ensuring the attainment of the PNP plans and programs aligned with the thrusts of the Duterte Administration in curbing criminality, illegal drugs and corruption.”
The new recruits will undergo the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course for six months at the Cordillera Administrative Region followed by their Field Training Program before they will be made permanent police officer 1 to strengthen their bodies and well-being and in order to perform their fundamental duty to serve and protect the people. **Ferdie Cariño Castañeda
