
The Department of Agriculture Cordillera (DA-CAR) has recorded a 64% accomplishment in the distribution of the rice program intervention in the Province of Kalinga at the start of 2025.
The program aims to improve the rice production sufficiency level of Kalinga farmers to increase farm productivity and boost farmers’ income.
According to the January 2025 data, 4,291 farmers in four areas in the province received seeds, inorganic fertilizers, biofertilizers, and ameliorants under the department’s National Rice Program (NRP).
1,887 farmers in Pinukpuk were the initial recipients of P3.2 million pesos worth of rice intervention followed by 2,188 farmers from Tanudan receiving P2.7 million. 106 farmers of Tabuk City received P807,000, followed by 102 farmers from Rizal receiving P984,000.
