YFC Awardees, students and business owners actively participate in the first day of the “Product Development through Packaging and Labeling” Training being facilitated by the DA-RFO CAR.
Agribusiness Promotion Section Head May Ann Tuba-ang opened the session by encouraging the participants to listen, learn, and not hesitate to ask for help. She expressed her hopes that the training would result in improved product labels and logos.
Participants shared their expectations before diving into the different sessions. The topic of branding, packaging, and labeling was discussed by Mr. Grayson Gonzalo. Product costing and pricing was covered by Ms. Claire Capuyan, while marketing strategies were discussed by Ms. Karen Gawigawen. All speakers were from DTI-Benguet.
A workshop on costing and pricing allowed them to apply their learning by computing the expenses of their mock businesses and giving the product with appropriate pricing.
