Recognizing merit, professionalism, and dedicated public service among its ranks, a total of 553 police officers from the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) and its Regional Support Units (RSUs) were formally promoted during the Simultaneous Oath-Taking, Donning, and Pinning of Ranks of 2nd Level Uniformed Personnel under the CY 2025 PLTCOL Continuous and Regular Promotions held on December 15.
The main ceremony took place at Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet, with simultaneous rites conducted at the Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) of Abra, Apayao, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.
Among those promoted under PRO CAR were 12 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 516 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs). Meanwhile, one PCO and 24 PNCOs were also promoted from the Regional Support Units.
The ceremony was led by PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, Regional Director of PRO CAR, and was attended by Mr. Nathaniel A. Cayaba, Acting Assistant Regional Director, National Police Commission–CAR (NAPOLCOM)- CAR; Atty. Zayne Mark Bongayon, Provincial Director, NAPOLCOM -Benguet; members of the PRO CAR Command Group, personnel from the Benguet Police Provincial Office, Baguio City Police Office, RSUs, and the families and friends of the promoted officers.
Highlights of the program included the reading of promotion orders by PCOL FRANCISCO B BULWAYAN, JR, Chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division; the mass oath-taking; the donning and pinning of rank insignia led by PBGEN DILAG; and the blessing of accoutrements officiated by Rev. Father (PCPT) JEZZRYL P FAILAGMAO, Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Pastoral Office.
In his message, PBGEN DILAG congratulated the newly promoted personnel and reminded them of their heightened responsibility to the public.
“Let us remain guided by the vision of a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman. Your new ranks should reflect this direction—swift in action, honest in service, and genuinely felt by the communities we serve. May each of you continue to strengthen public trust through actions that embody our core values and promote peace and order in the Cordillera,” PBGEN DILAG added.
