NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS MONTH – The City Government of Baguio, through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Department Head Engr. Charles Bryan Carame, recognized the invaluable contributions of volunteers who continue to support the city’s various government programs, projects, activities, and services toward inclusive governance.
Volunteers were honored during a simple program held on May 18, 2026, in celebration of National Volunteers Month 2026 with the theme, “Stronger for a Resilient Baguio.”
The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), led by Executive Director Donald James D. Gawe, CESO III, graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of volunteerism in nation-building across different sectors of society, including civic groups, faith-based organizations, youth and elderly groups, schools, and private establishments.
Part of the activity included the Pledge of Commitment for Volunteerism and the thumb marking of the Commitment Tree. **JM Samidan
