As PROCOR cops continue to step up its efforts against criminality, a total of sixty-three (63) individual wanted by the law were arrested, while fifty-two (52) municipalities in the region have recorded zero crime incidents from April 23 to 29, 2023.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) has recorded the highest number of arrests with eighteen (18) wanted persons arrested, followed by the Abra PPO and Benguet PPO with seventeen (17) arrests each, the Apayao PPO and Kalinga PPO with four (4) arrests each, the Ifugao PPO with two (2) arrests, and the Kalinga PPO with one (1) arrest.
Of the arrested personalities, eight (8) individuals were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP); of which two (2) are listed at the Provincial Level, two (2) at the Municipal Level, three (3) at the City Level, and one (1) at the Station Level.
Meanwhile, as a result of intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, fifty-two (52) municipalities in the different provinces of the region and two (2) police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PROCOR recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in twenty-two (22) out of twenty-seven (27) municipalities in Abra; three (3) out of six (6) municipalities in Apayao; eight (8) out of thirteen (13) municipalities in Benguet; eight (8) out of eleven (11) municipalities in Ifugao; four (4) out of seven (7) municipalities in Kalinga; and seven (7) out of ten (10) municipalities in Mt. Province.
Further, Naguilian Police Station (PS) 1 and Aurora Hill PS 6 also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City
