As part of its efforts to implement ease of doing business and to adhere to the imposition of the Enhanced Community Quarantine, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has made it easier for One Person Corporations (OPCs) and Corporations with Less than Five Incorporators to apply for registration through the Interim Online Registration System (IORS).
Before the IORS was rolled out, interested applicants were required to file their documentary requirements manually at SEC Offices. Using the IORS, OPCs and corporations with less than five incorporators may now file it in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Through the IORS, applicants have to provide the necessary information on the online form to complete their corporate profile, such as the preferred corporate name, principal office address, authorized capital stock, names and residential addresses of the board of directors, and other essential information. Applicants are free to choose which SEC Office they opt to submit their applications.
Upon the approval of the corporate name by the SEC’s Company Registration and Monitoring Department (CRMD), processors from the preferred Extension Office will review the submitted application. Notice on the status of the application will be sent to the applicant’s valid e-mail address.
For applications made through the SEC Baguio Extension Office (SEC – BEO), clients with approved applications shall submit the signed and notarized physical copies of the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, make payments and claim their Certificates of Incorporation at the SEC –BEO located at Newtown Square, Navy Base Road.
The IORS may be accessed by interested applicants thru https://apps004.sec.gov.ph:8001/application.
For further inquiries and assistance, the SEC – BEO may be contacted thru secbaguio@sec.gov.ph. **Helen Veryan C. Valdez, Information Officer, SEC-BEO
