Cops nab 39 wanted persons
As part of the PROCOR’s intensified manhunt operations, 39 wanted persons were arrested by its different units from July 11 to 17, 2021.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, for this week, Benguet PPO has the highest number of arrests with 19, followed by Baguio with 11, Ifugao with five 5, Abra with 3 and Kalinga with 1.
Of the 39, 5 were listed as Most Wanted Persons: One (1) in the Regional Level, one (1) in the Municipal Level, and three (3) in the Station Level.
Suspect Orlando Evangelista Quilaton listed as No. 8 in the Regional Level, was arrested for the crime of Rape and Violation of RA 7610 or Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Meanwhile, in the Municipal level,suspect Leobardo Cayat Budong, listed as No. 1 was also arrested for violation of the same law.
Lastly, in the Station Level, suspects Ulysses Charpang Tariagao listed as No. 2, was arrested for the crime of Murder, Matea Gertrudes Generosa Magbitang listed as No. 4 was arrested for Violation of BP 22, and Joniel Guilay Gascon listed as No. 7 was arrested for the crime of RA 9262 or Violence against Women and their Children.
General takes sentimental journey to Ifugao
As part of his sentimental journey before his retirement, PMGEN ANGELITO ABELLERA CASIMIRO, Chief of the PNP Directorate for Logistics (PNP DL), visited the Ifugao Police Provincial Office at Camp Colonel Joaquin P Dunuan, Lagawe, Ifugao, July 17, 2021.
Greeted by the traditional welcome dance performed by the men and women of Ifugao, PMAJ GEN CASIMIRO was received by the Provincial Director, PCOL DAVID D MARIANO.
As part of the program, he awarded medals to five deserving personnel for their invaluable accomplishments and services.
Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to PCMS Moises Eway Atma, PSMS Sherwin Domingo Kimmayong, and PCpl Jhaypee Calip Solomon for processing the documents and coordinating with concerned agencies that led to the successful allocation of two (2) parcels of land to be used by SAF Battalion and CARTC at Hapid, Lamut Ifugao.
Further, Medalya ng Papuri was awarded to PCpl Enden Puddunan Dinamling for being the Top 2 and Pat Renalyn Pacio Mangolinchao as the Top 3 of the Basic Logistic Course held last month.
Highlight of the visit was the turnover of logistical equipment to PCOL MARIANO, these are 42 caliber 9mm; 25 units basic assault riffles; 2000 pcs face masks; 2000 pcs face shields; 4 units bikes; 57 pairs of eyewear and 20 helmets; 20 units tactical vests; 40 pcs plates; 23 mobile phones, and 9, 000 of 5.56 ammunition to be used for general dispatch purposes.
PMGEN ANGELITO ABELLERA CASIMIRO in his message, reminisced his service as the Provincial Director of Ifugao PPO from 2012-2013, commended the hard work and sacrifices of the personnel and further encouraged them to continue providing outstanding service to the community.
Subsequently, after the program PMGEN CASIMIRO with PCOL MARIANO and company proceeded to Nunhabatan, Lamut, Ifugao to formally turn over the CARTC and 14 SAB Camp blueprint and other documents to Engr. Ernesto Aton of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
5 drug personalities busted
Four (4) Street-Level Individuals (SLI) and one (1) High-Value Individual (HVI) were arrested on July 21, 2021, in two separate operations in Baguio City and Benguet. They were identified as Laista Ligawen Pedro (SLI), 20; Jimmer Sawasi Bedkingan (SLI), 27; Azhel Pablo Salvador (HVI), 19; Angeline Mae Dominguez Delena (SLI), 19; and a minor SLI.
In Poblacion,Tuba, Benguet, joint operatives of Benguet PPO and PDEA arrested suspects Pedro, Bedkingan, and one minor after they sold twenty (20) tubular pieces containing dried stalks and leaves suspected to be marijuana with an estimated total weight of 20 kilograms with Standard Drug Price of PHP 2,400,000.00 to an operative acting as a poseur-buyer.
Meanwhile, in Dontogan, Marcos Highway, Baguio City, suspects Salvador and Delena were arrested by joint operatives of Baguio CPO, RID PROCOR, EOD/K9-COR, RACU-COR, RIU-14, and PDEG after they sold to an operative acting as poseur buyer one (1) transparent cellophane containing suspected shabu weighing MOL twenty-five (25) grams enclosed in a red Chinese paper envelope with DDB Value of Php 170,000.00.
The operation against Salvador and Delena esteemed from intelligence information that Salvador aka “Esang” is being used by his father Alexander Serrano who is a prisoner at the National Bilibid Prison as a courier of shabu.
On-site inventory of the pieces of evidence were conducted in the presence of the suspects and witnesses while a case for Violation of RA 9165 is being prepared for filing against them. **
