“Binnadang Kordilyera”
In Mtn Province, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB15) continues to extend more help through their “Binnadang Kordilyera” Project that was conducted in Brgy. Demang, Sagada, on April 24, 2024.
According to the personnel of RMFB15, police officers of their 1502nd Mobile Company, together with the personnel of Sagada Municipal Police Station, visited Mrs. Bernice T. Salon, who is currently undergoing rigorous medical treatments due to stroke and oral chemotherapy. In a gesture of compassion, they presented her with a wheelchair and essential groceries, offering practical support during her challenging time.
The help was made possible through the concerted efforts and voluntary contributions of the C&T BUILDERS Inc., JMLA Meat Trading, JVP Construction, INKorporate Office Solutions Company, Mapitagan South Elite Eagle’s Club, JKLY Computer Trading, SOUTHLINK Gasline Installation Services, JASSY Electromechanical Services, Ms. Analysa LAPUZ, and Mr. Michael Jay Costes.
The “Binnadang Kordilyera” Project which was under the”Panag-Aywan Iti Kailyan” program of the RMFB15 aims to strengthen the relationship between the PNP and the community by extending help to our Kakailyans, especially those who are deprived of certain services and rights.
STREET LEVEL DRUG PERSONALITY ARRESTED; OVER P1.8M OF ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED
As a result of the continuous conduct of anti-illegal drugs operations by Police Regional Office Cordillera, a street level drug personality was arrested and a total of Php1,813,600.00 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in Baguio City and Mountain Province on April 22, 2024.
In Baguio City, the joint operatives of Pacdal Police Station (PS3), City Drug Enforcement Unit, City Intelligence Unit, and PDEA-CAR arrested a 31-year-old male security guard in a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy Gibraltar after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less (MOL) 1 gram with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php6,800.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
In the course of his arrest, another sachet of suspected shabu weighing MOL 1 gram with an SDP of Php6,800.00 was recovered from his possession.
The inventory of the seized pieces of evidence was conducted onsite in the presence of the suspect and witnessed by DOJ representative, Ms. Marie Melanie Geronimo; media representative, Mr. Christopher Bartolo; and Barangay Chairman Nemesio Huag of Brgy Gibraltar.
The arrested suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of PS3 for proper disposition and documentation.
Meanwhile, in a marijuana eradication operation conducted in Kalinga, the joint operatives of 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company, Tinglayan Municipal Police Station, and PDEA-Kalinga discovered MOL 9,000 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants with an SDP of Php1,800,000.00 in Brgy Loccong, Tinglayan.
All discovered marijuana plants were burned onsite, while follow-up operations are being conducted to locate other marijuana plantation sites in the area and apprehend possible cultivators.
