Like riding a bike, the challenge at first is a humongous task to be overcome. But once we get the
wheels rolling, the accomplishment is a big relief.. With the mystery of riding a bike being bigger than it actually was. No matter how small or mundane we think of all the hurdles behind us, we can all remember how big they looked like at the starting line.
Behind the people we call boss and manager are piled up experiences that got them to where they are. A graduating student may or may not be sinking deeper in stress than 1st year students. But regardless of how young or old, people do not reach the place where they are now without their own experiences and challenges that gave them nightmares.
As we all came out of the womb, we had to learn how to crawl and walk. And for some time, we were the first to give parents nightmares. As we all grew older, its not a good place to be when the situation is reversed.
Looking back to all our medals and diploma we can see the hard work that was needed to print an expensive paper and to have our names written in cursive. The confidence we get from hard work is unshakeable unless we ourselves bring ourselves down. Put ourselves down when we are already high up. Break all the medals up on our walls no matter how shiny they may be.
Whether we crawled or ran our way to where we are, that is not an easy distance to cover nonetheless. The body we all aim to achieve, the degree we covet, and the looming due dates of assignments and jobs. Its only a matter of time before we put them all behind us and move towards bigger things in life.
We can all be proud of all that we achieved. We can back ourselves in situations where we are the underdog. Because we always have someone in our corner shouting our names. Though sometimes we feel to be the only one against big challenges we have ourselves to be confident of. And the being who made us always watching over.
No effort can be laughed at, lauded instead. A simple act of courage can have bigger effects than we had thought. With courage and confidence we get our self-doubt out of the way. And see that the challenge in front is something that can be scaled by a person like us.
We already know how to crawl and what frustration is like. Though we must always remind ourselves how to be confident. When we crawled as a baby we crawled forward not backward, that’s the first thing we learned. We don’t slouch on forward because of the intimidating challenges before us. We move forward with confidence and swag because there are bigger beings backing us.**
