PRO CAR’s Weeklong Manhunt Operations Yield 25 Arrests; 58 Municipalities Record Zero Crime Incidents
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) continues to make significant progress in its anti-criminality efforts, arresting 25 individuals—three of whom were identified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs)—during a weeklong implementation of manhunt operations. Adding to this success, 58 municipalities across the Cordillera region reported zero crime incidents during the same period, highlighting the effectiveness of increased police presence and strong community cooperation.
From July 28 to August 3, 2025, the different police offices conducted separate operations, with the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) leading with 11 arrests. The Baguio City Police Office (CPO) followed with seven arrests, while Abra PPO and Mountain Province PPO each recorded two arrests. Apayao, Ifugao, and Kalinga PPOs each recorded one arrest. Of the three MWPs apprehended, two were listed as most wanted at the provincial level and one at the municipal level.
During this successful week, 58 municipalities and six police stations within Baguio City reported zero crime incidents. This impressive achievement includes 21 municipalities in Abra, nine each in Benguet and Mountain Province, eight in Ifugao, six in Kalinga, and five in Apayao. Also, Police Stations 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10 of the Baguio CPO also reported no crime incidents, underscoring the widespread impact of PRO CAR’s efforts.
Additionally, PRO CAR’s proactive approach to swiftly addressing and resolving reported incidents was reflected in the commendable 80.00% Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) and Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) recorded for the week.
These accomplishments underscore PRO CAR’s continued dedication to combating criminality and ensuring public safety. The success of these operations stands as a testament to the strong partnership between law enforcement and the community, with increased police visibility playing a vital role in keeping the Cordillera region safe and secure for all kakailyans.
DOTR CAR delivers motorcycle plates to PROCAR personnel under OPLAN WARAS PLAKA
In a proactive move to streamline government services, the Department of Transportation – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOTr-CAR) distributed motorcycle license plates to personnel of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative (PRO CAR) as part of OPLAN WARAS PLAKA.
The ceremonial distribution, held on August 4, 2025, at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, was led by DOTr-CAR Regional Director PBGEN GLENN G DUMLAO (Ret.) and PRO CAR Regional Director PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG.
During the program 90 license plates were handed over to PNP personnel and their relatives. This initiative aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call in his recent State of the Nation Address (SONA) urging agencies to bring services closer to the public.
In his message, PBGEN DUMLAO reinforced DOTr-CAR’s commitment to expanding plate distribution by delivering the service to police camps and stations, ensuring faster, more efficient public service.
“To all of you, please help us. We cannot do this alone. You serve as our partners in OPLAN WARAS PLAKA and as vital links to the community,” he added.
This community-driven strategy, supported by the Department of Transportation – CAR, eliminates the need for individuals to claim plates at DOTr offices, significantly enhancing convenience and accessibility. It underscores DOTr-CAR’s dedication to improving service delivery by meeting citizens where they are, simplifying processes, reducing inconvenience, and upholding the agency’s mission of efficiency, accessibility, and compassion.
