PRO CAR WELCOMES 258 NEW POLICE RECRUITS IN OATH-TAKING CEREMONY
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) welcomed 258 newly appointed Patrolmen and Patrolwomen following their oath-taking ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 16, 2026.
The ceremony was graced by PRO CAR Regional Director, PBGEN NOEL B VALLO, as the Administering Officer. He was joined by members of the Command Group, Regional Staff, Police Training Center-CAR (PTC-CAR) staff, and National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM)-CAR personnel headed by Regional Director Atty. Henry M. Dungala. Also present were Mr. Genaro Dumpayan, Branch Manager of Land Bank of the Philippines-La Trinidad Branch, families of the recruits, and other PRO CAR personnel.
As part of the program, the appointment orders for the 258 newly appointed police officers under the CY 2026 Patrolman/Patrolwoman Regular and Attrition Recruitment Program—comprising 196 Patrolmen and 62 Patrolwomen—were read on behalf of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division. The recruits were then formally turned over to the Regional Education and Training Division and PTC-CAR for their training and further preparation for police service.
As highlight of the program, PBGEN VALLO administered the oath of office to the newly appointed PRO CAR officers, followed by the ceremonial turnover of LandBank ATM cards to the appointees.
In his message, the Regional Director challenged the recruits to prove they deserve the trust placed in them and to show they are worthy to belong to PRO CAR, the “Home of the Most Disciplined Cops.”
“Wearing the police uniform is a privilege that comes with great responsibility. Your actions will reflect not only who you are but also the organization you represent. Carry with you the values of discipline, integrity, and genuine service,” he added.
Following the ceremony, the 258 newly appointed police officers will undergo six months of the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC), followed by six months of the Field Training Program (FTP) to complete their preparation as full-fledged police officers.
PRO CAR NABS SIX REGIONAL TOP MOST WANTED PERSONS IN WEEK-LONG MANHUNT OPS
The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) intensified its manhunt operations, resulting in the arrest of six individuals listed among the Regional Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWPs) for the 3rd Quarter of 2026 in separate operations conducted from September 3 to 8, 2026.
Leading the successful operations was the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO), which apprehended the Region’s No. 1 TMWP, a 72-year-old male wanted for Statutory Rape and Lascivious Conduct.
Meanwhile, the Apayao PPO arrested the No. 2 TMWP, a 38-year-old male wanted for four counts of Rape through Sexual Assault while the Ifugao PPO apprehended the No. 4 TMWP identified as 28-year-old male wanted for two counts of Statutory Rape.
The Baguio City Police Office accounted for three of the region’s TMWPs. Its intensified operations led to the arrest of the No. 3 TMWP, a 35-year-old female wanted for Homicide; the No. 5 TMWP, a 38-year-old male wanted for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; and the No. 6 TMWP, a 33-year-old female also wanted for violation of RA 9165.
The successful operations demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated and intelligence-driven law enforcement efforts in the region particularly in tracking down individuals who remained at large despite standing warrants of arrest.
PBGEN NOEL B VALLO, PRO CAR Regional Director, commended the operating units and personnel for their dedication, perseverance and commitment to duty.
He emphasized that PRO CAR would continue to intensify its anti-criminality campaign and strengthen manhunt operations against wanted persons, underscoring the organization’s commitment to maintaining peace and order and ensuring the safety and security of the Cordilleran community. **
