Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Y. Dalog, Chief of Staff and daughter of the late Mountain Province Representative Maximo B. Dalog has been designated as member to the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College.
Representative Ann K. Hofer of the 2nd District of Zamboanga Sibugay and Chairperson of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education issued the designation order on August 1, 2017.
“Pursuant to Section 3 of Republic Act 8292, otherwise known as the Higher Education Modernization Act of 1997, which names the Chairperson of the Committee on Higher and Technical Education of the House of Representatives as ex-officio member of the governing boards of all State Universities and Colleges, the undersigned hereby designates ATTY. CYPHRINE MARCEL Y. DALOG as her representative to the Board of Trustees of MPSPC effective August 1, 2017,” the designation reads.
Dalog is a graduate of the University of the Philippines and San Beda College of Law join the 12-member governing board of the college. As member of the board, she says she will faithfully perform the powers, prerogatives and duties of the Board enumerated under Sections 4,5 and 6 of RA8292. “We convey our heartfelt thanks to Congresswoman Hofer for the trust and confidence accorded to us to represent her in the MPSPC-BOT,” she added.
Aside from Dalog, the other members of the board are: Commissioner Lilian de las Llagas of CHED as Chairperson-Designate; Dr. Rexton F. Chakas, College President; Atty. William Managtag representing Senator Francis Escudero; Director Milagros Rimando od NEDA-CAR; Director Victor Mariano of DOST; Director Lorenzo Caranguian of DA; Ms. Gemma Ngelangel, private sector representative; Mr. Benedict Odsey II, private sector representative and Emily Ann B.
