The city government put together an array of religious, cultural, creative, historical and recreational activities under the traditional Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) calendar of activities in Baguio which began this month.
The summer treats are bannered under the theme: “Summer? #OfCourseBaguio.”
Lenten activities will topbill the calendar this week with religious services and Lenten presentations scheduled at the various churches from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday:

*18th to 19th century Century Philippine Religious Engravings In the sword-and-cross colonization of the Philippines by Spain, Filipinos used hand-printed religious pictures (estampas) to spread Christianity. These “visual aids” depicted Christ, saints, and church teachings, adorning altars, books, and even serving as bookmarks (estampitas).
