The Barlig Municipal Police Station won the First Provincial Search for the Healthiest Municipal Office 2017. This search was conducted by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Mountain Province from September 2017 to December 2017 in support of Mission: SLIM POSSIBLE and as part of the provincial government’s advocacy on healthy lifestyle. Lectures on healthy lifestyle were conducted by the Provincial Health Office to the 10 Municipal Police Stations and final assessment of the offices was done in the first two weeks of December. The Philippine National Police launched on June 13, 2017 its nationwide Mission: SLIM POSSIBLE to “promote healthy living with fit and active body in the police force” to perform every day tasks effectively and efficiently.
The criteria for the search included no smoking and drinking alcohol and chewing momma in office and its premises, body mass index and blood pressure of the staff, zero waste management, cleanliness and beautification of office, presence of wellness/fitness activities and client-friendliness.
Police Senior Superintendent Tellio Colte Ngis-o received the certificate of commendation for Barlig MPS last December 19, 2017 during the PNP Christmas Party at Camp Geronimo Montes, Bontoc, Mountain Province in behalf of the Barlig MPS. PSI Barnard Bone F. Navarra is the Chief of Police of Barlig and he has 29 staff members.
