Bontoc, Mountain Province – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) is hiring 2,000 Jail Officers 1 (JO1) nationwide for its 2019 regular quota.
This was reported by JO2 Genesis Kumalao from the BJMP during the 4th quarter meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) on December 12, 2018 at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol.
Kumalao said that interested applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications: he or she must be a Filipino citizen; of good moral character; passed the drug test, Neuro-Psychiatric, and medical examinations; physically and mentally fit for training; a bachelor’s degree holder from a government-recognized school; has passed the Penology Officer Examination or an equivalent 2nd-Level Eligibility ( RA 1080, CSC-Professional, P.D. No. 907); has no records of having been dishonourably discharged from any government position or private employment; must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude; not less than 21 nor more than 30 years old; at least 5’43 and 5’23 in height for male and female, respectively; and must weigh no more or less than five kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.
Kumalao clarified that age and height waivers will be automatically granted to applicants belonging to cultural communities as certified by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP).
Further, applicants must submit the following requirements: Fully accomplished personal data sheet (PDS) with recent passport-size picture (CS Form No. 212, Revised 2017); photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by the PSA; authenticated Diploma; authenticated Transcript of Records; authenticated Certificate of Eligibility or Board Rating (w/ photocopy of PRC ID); photocopy of Marriage Certificate (PSA) – for married applicants; photocopy of NBI Clearance; photocopy of Police Clearance; photocopy of Barangay Clearance ; photocopies of Court clearances (Office of the Prosecutor, Municipal Trial Court, and Regional Trial Court); and photocopy of NCIP Certificate (if necessary).
Applicants may submit their application folders to the Mountain Province District Jail located at Bilibid Compound, Barangay Caluttit, Bontoc, Mountain Province or the BJMP – Regional Office in Baguio City.
