Bontoc, Mountain Province – The Bontoc Local Government Unit (LGU) honoured three retirees in government service, during the Salamat-Mabuhay Program on December 6, 2023, at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol Auditorium.
Erlinda Pangod retired as an Administrative Assistant I from the Office of the Municipal Treasurer. She rendered 30 years, one month and nineteen days in government service.
Paula May-ao served as an Administrative Aide IV of the Office of the Municipal Waterworks Supervisor for 31 years.
Revenue Collection Clerk I Franklin Faycan of the Office of the Municipal Treasurer rendered 26 years and eleven months in government service.
In their messages, the retirees shared their experiences in government service, reminiscing about their experiences as civil servants. These include their passion and willingness to serve the people. The retirees also expressed their gratitude to the municipal employees who they have the opportunity to work with, and the offices where they came from.
The families of retirees thanked the Bontoc LGU for the love and friendship they gave to the retirees. They wished them good health, looking forward to spending more years with them as they enjoy their retirement.
As gratitude for their priceless service, the Bontoc LGU awarded Plaques of Lifetime Service Award to the retirees.
Also, the retirees received cash incentives from the Bontoc Municipal Employees Union (BMEU) which were handed over by BMEU President Ross Kiat-ong and BMEU Treasurer Knittle Jane Lingbanan. Pangod received P52, 794.00, May-ao received P52, 819.00, while Faycan received P52, 805.00.
The retirees were also presented with tokens of appreciation from the personnel of the Municipal Treasury Office and Waterworks Office, expressing their profound gratitude for their invaluable service and dedication.
In his message, Bontoc Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., represented by Vice Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen wished the retirees good health as they enjoy their retirement journey.
