Bontoc, Mountain Province – Eighteen athletes who participated and earned medals during the 2023 CAR Kyorugi/Sparring and Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, in Baguio City, on December 10, 2023, received Certificates of Recognition from the Bontoc Local Government Unit.
According to PSSG Benjamin Chumacog of the Bontoc Municipal Police Station (MPS) who is also the coach of the ALBAGO Taekwondo team, the athletes brought home a total of 19 medals to include five gold medals, five silver medals, and nine bronze medals.

In his message, Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., expressed his pride and appreciation for the outstanding achievements of the Taekwondo athletes emphazing that their remarkable achievements not only bring pride to Bontoc but also serve as an inspiration for the entire community.
Further, the mayor expressed his appreciation to their coach, PSSG Chumacog, whose guidance and expertise played a crucial role in the success of the ALBAGO Taekwondo team.
