Benguet State University, Buguias Campus launched its Child Minding Center on March 30,2022.
The Child Minding Center is in the context of Exedcutive order No, 340:
The Ribbon Cutting rites was done by University President Felipe Saliang Comila, Buguias Municipal Mayor Ruben Tindaan and BSU Buguias Executive Dean Florendo P. Comila.
The Child Minding Center is intended for faculty, staff and students who have toddlers and have to bring them to school in the absence of a house help.
According to Ms. Ana Cris Gabol, BSU Buguias Associate Dean, there are students pursuing their studies who have to bring their children to school and the Center will enable these mothers to focus on their studies.
The launching will be in time for the limited face to face classes, considering that a Certification (with Control Number 2022-048) signed by Mayor Tindaan was handed to the Campus’ Administration. The document is a certification that “ the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Buguias Benguet interposes no objection and supports the request of Benguet State University-Buguias Campus for the conduct of Limited Face to Face classes.”
The Certification was presented together with the Safety Seal (numbered: CAR-2022-0404-043) before Campus faculty and staff and the University President.
BSU President Felipe Salaing Comila said that the launching of the Center was in advocacy to the observation of Women’s month. He added that BSU Bokod Campus will launched its Center on April 11,2022. La Trinidad Campus has already one and this is lodged at the College of Agriculture. **GT Bengwayan
