BONTOC, Mountain Province –A total of 321 candidates in the ten municipalities in this province filed their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs).
Based on the Certified List of Candidates obtained from the Provincial COMELEC Office here, the candidate for the mayoralty race in the municipality of Besao and candidates for vice mayor in the municipalities of Bontoc, Natonin and Sabangan are unopposed.
Unopposed candidate for mayor in Besao is incumbent Mayor Johnson II D. Bantog. Unopposed candidate for vice mayor in Bontoc is incumbent Vice Mayor Eusebio S. Kabluyen, in Sabangan is incumbent Vice Mayor Dario P. Esden, and in Natonin is Christopher M. Bayowan.
The other candidates vying for the different municipal positions: Candidates for mayor in the municipality of Barlig are Marlyn L. Agpawan, incumbent Mayor Genesis T. Changilan, Rudy W. Longid, and Clark C. Ngaya. Candidates who filed their COCs for vice mayor are incumbent Vice mayor David Osborn M. Fomocod, Simplicio A. Nabunat, and Ayson T. Naulgan. There are 28 also who filed their COCs for councilor.
In Bauko, the mayoralty race is between incumbent Mayor Abraham B. Akilit and incumbent Councilor Mario I. Gaoken; candidates for vice mayor are incumbent Vice Mayor Bartolome B. Badecao, Salvador G. Liked, and incumbent Councilor Ricky B. Samidan; and 30 also filed their COCs for councilor.
Candidates for vice mayor in the municipality of Besao are incumbent Vice Mayor June T. Lopsoten and incumbent Councilor Alfredo S. Beyden; while 21 candidates filed their COCs for councilor.
The mayoralty race in this municipality is between incumbent Mayor Franklin C. Odsey and Siegh Fred N. Fatongkeg; and 19 candidates filed for councilor.
In Natonin, candidates who filed their COCs for mayor are Jose T. Agagon, Patrick D. Baguingan, incumbent Councilor Rafael L. Bulawe, Bernard F. Foryasen, and incumbent Vice Mayor Fernandez D. Linggayo. There are 28 who filed their COCs for councilor.
Paracelis has two candidates each for mayor and vice mayor. Marcos G. Ayangwa and incumbent Councilor Benjamin D. Manat for mayor while incumbent Vice Mayor Lorenzo D. Carpio and Lister M. Carlos are for vice mayor; and 27 candidates filed for councilor.
Four candidates vie for mayor in the municipality of Sabangan, namely, Martin Sr P. Budod, Joseph Alejandro C. Dominguez, Marcial Jr C. Lawilao, and Rodolfo L. Mencion; and 23 candidates filed for councilor.
Candidates for mayor in Sadanga are Mayor Jose Jr A. Limmayog, Geraldo Jr F. Ackut, and Gabino P. Ganggangan; for vice mayor are incumbent Vice Mayor Joseph N. Apopot, Albert T. Ayao-ao, Paul F. Farong-ey, and Mario C. Galingan. There are 48 candidates who filed their COCs for councilor.
In Sagada, candidates Israel L. Dontogan, Fely Yacabbao C. Omengan, and incumbent Mayor James B. Pooten Jr. vie for mayor; for vice mayor are Felecito O. Dula and Richard A. Yodong; and 21 candidates are vying for councilor.
In Tadian, candidates who filed for mayor are Ruben A. Bayogan, Reynaldo SJ. Del Amor, Constito S. Masweng. For vice mayor, it is a race between incumbent Vice Mayor Alfonso D. Polan and incumbent Councilor Gilbert L. Lao-ay.**PIA Mtn. Province
