BAGUIO CITY – The city government led by Mayor Mauricio Domogan honored the Summer Capital’s top ten business and real property taxpayers for calendar year 2018 in Monday’s flag-raising rites at City Hall with RU Aquino Construction and Development Corporation topping both categories.
The honorees were announced by the city treasury office under city treasurer Alex Cabarrubias and awarded plaques of recognition by the mayor and other officials. These were received by the establishments’ representatives.
The city’s top ten business taxpayers are RU Aquino Construction and Development Corporation, Coca-Cola Femsa Phils. Inc., Pilipino Cable Corporation, CJH Hotel Corporation, Jarco Realty and Development Corporation, Maybank Philippines Inc., Mountain Maid Training and Development Foundation, Inc., SM Investments Corporation, On Demand English and DHL Global Forwarding Philippines Inc..
Meanwhile, the top ten real property taxpayers are RU Aquino Construction and Development Corporation, Vdara Realty Development Corporation, Diocese of Baguio, SM Investments Corporation-Beneficial User, Goldencrown Group Realty Inc., Toyota Dagupan City Inc., DMCI Project Developers Inc., BTG Holdings Inc., Ang Charles Ingram/Mountain View Corporation and City Lights Properties Development Corporation.
Domogan profusely thanked the honorees for being responsible corporate citizens or entities by paying their taxes which he emphasized is the lifeblood of every local government unit used to fund various programs and projects benefitting the public.
The local government has been recognizing the city’s top taxpayers for about 10 years now aimed at encouraging the prompt and full payment of taxes.**gaby keith
