A thrilling story requires excitement before the story ends. That seems to be the case whenever December rolls around. Students have exams and workers have their loads doubled. Like fireworks going out with a bang, we spiral closer to madness as we get closer to December. So many tasks to accomplish and many more to plan ahead. We rush our work so we can all return home. We accompany our parents to buy food. We decorate and plan and plan but near the end at least we can all eat to our heart’s content.
As we all spiral into madness it can be rewarding as we look back throughout a busy year. All the lessons learned ought to be remembered. The memories we made will be treasured. And release all that burden us as we make further memories throughout the month.
No one can fault anyone if we are not in the right headspace at the moment. Anyone who managed to reach this point deserves a pat in the back and a very bitter alcoholic drink. Not a scolding or a reminder of all that we did wrong.
There is time for reflection soon enough. Before that though, we must first appreciate all that surrounds us, the music, the family and friends. We can never be completely sure if we’ll have another Christmas next year. And before we know it, December will be in our rearview mirror.
‘Tis a month to appreciate others. Because most probably this month is the gap between the sea of deadlines which keeps people from appreciating what they have. Now that Christmas can afford us a time to relax, we can properly look at the faces arounds us and appreciate them properly. Look around our surroundings and enjoy the view of such an exciting month.
Though madness may circulate still in everyone’s head, that will soon be cured with enough food and familial faces.
Whatever we had to do or what we went through to arrive in this month, it is time to remind ourselves of the basic values of good. The Christmas songs themselves already remind us. All about sharing and spreading love, it’s time again to do the basics.
Though an entire year can drive anyone crazy, we have our anchor to keep us in place. These values that have been taught to us since childhood.
They say that champions don’t rebuild their team, they reload. We need to reload too, and instill in us and share goodness again.**
