All of them down to a man regret they did not choose coming to the Philippines

Ombudsman Samuel Martires has ordered an investigation of alleged irregularities committed by Department of Health officials including Health Secretary Francisco Duque in connection with the government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic..
I doubt if Martires is ready to be Martir. Duque has the full confidence of President Rodrigo Duterte. At any rate, let us see if something useful to the country will come off this order of the Ombudsman.

I read in the news that prohibition on domestic flights is still in effect first week of June.
I was relieved to find out the flight from Wuhan on May 30 was classified as international.

In fairness to Senator Cynthia Villar who is not exactly a very much loved government official due to some questionable actions and pronouncements, the alleged planting of the gun on ex-soldier Winston Ragos after he was shot to death by policemen in a quarantine protocol confrontation at a checkpoint was not what she meant when she urged people to do some planting during the pandemic.
****
If it’s true that the gun found in the bag of Ragos was planted, it’s not the first time that the reprehensible act happened in this country.
President Rodrigo Duterte has previously admitted to planting evidence during his days as prosecutor.

I remembered that Senator Villar angered not only farmers but a large segment of the population when she said during the deliberation of the Rice Ratification Law that P5.00 margin per kilo of palay is enough for farmers and that the problem of farmers is they want to be hacendero.
If she being matapobre could enter public service, what’s barring farmers from wanting to become hacenderos?

Spot the difference between Senator Christopher Go and beauty contestants: beauty bets are not scared of Q and A.
Ano tawag sa mga senador na gustong magtanong kay Go pagkatapos nitong mag-privilege speech?
Walang malasakit.

There should also be an Anti-Error Law so government functionaries will stop inflicting their ignorance whether for real or for some reprehensible purpose on the public.
Imagine the Secretary of Health claiming there is no evidence that asymptomatic Covid-19 cases could infect others and claiming that mass testing means testing all 107M Filipinos! Such errors should be punished not only for spreading ignorance but more so for being intentional.

House bill banning POGOs filed
I think the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise has more chance than this bill against the source of “cash resource.”

Retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio urged Filipinos to elect leaders in 2022 who will stand up to China.
He’s trying to say is our present leaders are kneeling? **
