Life moves fast, and it moves too quick. Contrary to a slow behemoth, a gigantic worth of work does not burden life to slow down, it floats seamlessly as if the weight of responsibilities felt by a person is non existent as life moves forward. It moves only ever forward.
In our quest to find help with keeping up, we often find ourselves in the company of vices. A paradise we long to find, we convince ourselves to be right there. Whether in love or lust, we long to find others who will keep us company. To be a witness at least to our problems we deem insurmountable. And their words of encouragement drive down the facade of impossible to become fiction.
Some of us find comfort in sharing with others’ stories, just to know that hardship is fair to everyone. And the scars we hide is not proof of weakness but a uniting symbol to all that have tried and ventured out into the wild.
The list of all that have made their mark in history, is long and endless. Whether their glory made sure their names will be remembered to this day, or the fruits they have planted all but bloomed and shelter their names under shadows, the work they had done exist with the pillars that hold great societies.
Under the tutelage of great teachers and educators there are seedlings being planted everyday, to improve upon this society and its flaws. There is still a need for gems into our world, ones that surpass our great predecessors who have put up a high bar.
To transform a ball of clay into something beautiful, the maker must take his time to mold and fold in order to reach a great product, lest he rushes the process only to see it fall apart down the line.
An origami without following the instructions carefully will not look better compared to the ones that have been made with care and precision.
For most of us, the end-product we pursue is not here yet. The person we want to be is not in front of the mirror for now. Yet it surely does good for the soul when we appreciate what we are for the moment. What a person looks like when they are in pursuit of something great.
The eyes look different when ambition is swirling behind them. But our eyes cannot be blind to what we have now. To all we have been blessed with. And to all that will be a foundation of a grander dream.
People with dreams should always take care of themselves. Because a life aboveground will always put us closer to our dreams than a corpse under the soil.**
