To protect the first responders who are protecting the public, Hedcor and Aboitiz Foundation provided frontliners in various Quarantine Control Points (QCP) in Northern Luzon with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Now on its third wave, thermal scanners, face masks and rubbing alcohol were distributed to frontliners as they secure the peace and order and serve the public.
“COVID-19 is a pressing matter we face in generations, and our frontliners come in ready to respond. They have a pivotal role in enforcing social regulations while ensuring public safety and security,” Andy Faelnar, AVP of Hedcor Group says.
Faelnar furthered that the health and general well-being of all is of paramount importance to Hedcor. Hedcor recognizes that the checkpoint personnel are on the front lines keeping the public safe, leaving them at a higher risk as they perform their critical jobs. Hedcor looks after their safety and security in return for their great service in flattening the COVID-19 curve.
One of the control point officers, Narciso Dimmuyog of QCP Tadiangan, Tuba shares, “Our community deserves safety and protection amidst this pandemic. That’s why we are here. We, too, deserve it. The same with anyone else, we have families waiting for us at home. Thank you Hedcor for thinking of our safety too.”
Also on its first and second wave, some one million pesos worth of relief packs and medical equipment were handed over to partner LGUs and medical frontliners in Benguet, Mtn. Province and Ilocos Sur.
Hedcor is a run-of-river hydropower arm of AboitizPower. With 22 hydropower facilities over the Philippines, it has a total installed capacity of 277MW of Cleanergy, AboitizPower’s brand for clean and renewable energy.**
