First order of business is to put in place mechanisms to perpetuate myself as general manager until I get tired of it.
One way to do that is to come up with a lot of programs to improve all facilities from electric lines and posts to heavy and office equipment. I would require quality brands, not those with “made in China” quality. This means more money will be disbursed to suppliers whom I will order to fork over to my corner 10% as attorney’s fees. That will be the new term to replace SOP or the common parlance for “lagay.”
Since I am not selfish, I would share that money with the members of the board of directors. That way, they will love me and would not let me go if somebody will ever call for that. They will also approve any policy or resolution that I would like to be passed.
As foresight, I would find ways to send them abroad on account of seminars or other educational activities for the good of BENECO. With that purpose, it would not be a problem justifying the expenses to be incurred. Some coop members might even be grateful, as well traveled directors will mean great ideas will be oozing out from their brains.
Arrangements will also be made to enable the directors to be like congressmen—with Priority Development Assistance Funds. Those funds will be coursed through the chosen contractors of the director representing the district. Or even if the contractor were just anybody, I would make sure that the concerned director will get the corresponding attorney’s fee for that project.
But nothing would be better than making sure any incoming director will be beholden to me. From my attorney’s fees I would contribute to their campaign funds to gain a seat in the board. With the amount I would be giving them, they could buy the votes of as many coop members as they would like.
To ensure the smooth flow of funds for such purpose, I would also share the attorney’s fees with department heads. No one would even try to disapprove anything I would ask, or he or she would find himself or herself in a tight spot, as I will file administrative or even criminal cases against them to justify their being suspended or fired.
By the way, to ensure the sufficiency of my attorney’s fees for the aforesaid purposes, contractors of BENECO will also be obliged to give me 10% of the value of their contracts. Yes, there will be a lot of funds at my disposal.
But I will not restrict the application of my generosity to those connected to the cooperative. I will also befriend politicians (including the top guns at the NEA (National Electrification Administration) by making their pockets happy. More so during elections so they will protect BENECO’s interests.
And the whole world would be put on notice that I have friends all over the place. Would somebody dare touch me in my position?
On second thought though that would mean I have degenerated to the level of a tradpol and that I will not even have an iota of spiritual protection against covid-19. So I would be so scared.
The pertinent question though is: Had the foregoing been happening, or is happening, or will be happening? I don’t know, but I think nobody can be as generous as I am.**
