Bontoc, Mountain Province – Individuals who would like to work abroad are advised to ready their requirements for the special job recruitment activity.
Public Employment Service Officer (PESO) Jennelyn W. Caluza who is also the Municipal Migrant Desk Officer – Designate said that a recruitment agency based in Manila will be coming to Bontoc to conduct the interview with interested applicants who would like to work overseas. The interview is scheduled on June 26-27, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. at the temporary municipal building in Eyeb.
According to Caluza, the recruitment agency is looking for domestic helpers, private lady drivers, private nurses, caregivers/baby sitters and private male drivers for Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Malaysia. Domestic helper-applicants must be 23 to 45 years of age, with or without experience, at least high school graduates; and can speak and understand the English language.
The recruitment agency will also be hiring skilled workers for Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Dubai. Skilled workers needed are nail technicians, beauticians, florists, sewers, waitressed and hairdressers. Requirements needed are updated resumes with pictures, certificates of employment and clear passport copies.
Aside from this, the agency is also in need of domestic helpers, baby sitters, chambermaids, kitchen staff for fast foods, tailors and nail technicians for Romania, Europe. Applicants for domestic helpers must be 23 to 42 years of age, can speak fluently the English language and have an experience as domestic helpers abroad.
Caluza assured that prior to the job recruitment, the recruitment agency has to secure a No Objection Certificate from the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) through the Office of Municipal Mayor to conduct such activity. After securing a No Objection Certificate from the MLGU, the recruitment agency shall have to secure a Special Recruitment Authority to be provided /furnished by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). It is stipulated in the Special Recruitment Authority the allowed job orders or the work classifications the recruitment agency will be offering, and the names of the personnel of the recruitment agency who will conduct the interview and recruitment.
She explained that the recruitment activity must be held at the municipal building and not at any other place to ensure legal recruitment of applicants who would like to work overseas.
The Bontoc LGU has been coordinating the conduct of special recruitment by accredited recruitment agencies in the capital town in the latter’s effort to save the constituents from becoming victims of illegal recruitment.
