The Local Government of Kapangan, Beguet offers, to the local community and local tourists, their very own strawberry plantation.
The Mayor of Kapangan, Manny Fermin, said that the local government will be helping the strawberry growers to promote their strawberry plantations and products.
Fermin stated that, “Tulungan tayo met dagiti farmers tapnu nalaklaka ti marketing da. Uray man dagiti kakailyan han da amu nga ada ti strawberry ditoy Kapangan sunga ipromote tayo tapnu ada dagiti sumagmamano nga bisita ket welcome da met”
He also added that strawberry picking in the field is possible, however, a certain schedule needs to be followed. The number of strawberry growers herehave been sl owly increasing.
“Nangrugi metten nga nagexplore dagiti farmers tayo. Ang mga barangays natin ay ang Pudong, Paykek, Datakan, Sagubo and particularly dito sa Labueg na pinaka nearest among the strawberry planters”, Fermin said.
Strawberry growers in the area states that the weather in Kapangan is suitable for growing strawberries.
