Hedcor’s 19-megawatt (MW) La Trinidad Hydro is on track for completion next year. This after the project officially broke ground last December 2017.
The P1.7 billion La Trinidad Hydro is expected to produce an annual generation of 62-million kilowatt-hour of Cleanergy, the AboitizPower’s brand of clean and renewable power.
Hedcor is closely supervising the ground work activities to ensure that environmental and safety operational controls are implemented.
Also, as Hedcor did during the construction in the 1990’s, the project will open local employment opportunities to about 300 to 500 qualified locals during the project construction. Hedcor will also continue supporting small-scale farmers by providing tapping points along the conveyance line for water to irrigate their farms.
Hedcor’s partnership of with the community has long been tested, and as the power generation firm moves to develop the La Trinidad Hydro, the community is assured to benefit from the upgrade through shares, taxes and corporate social responsibility programs.
“A Better Future through Cleanergy”— A clear vision statement that drives Hedcor to aggressively amplify its renewable portfolio in support to the Philippines’ National Renewable Energy Program that aims to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030.**
