LAGAWE, Ifugao, Sept. 9 (PIA) – – Returning residents of this municipality are directed to coordinate with the Municipal Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office at least 48 hours prior to their arrival at the municipal checkpoints for the necessary measures.
Mayor Martin Habawel, Jr. said this is to give time for the preparation of the quarantine facilities. Under the amended Executive Order G-30, persons coming from high risk areas such as Nueva Vizcaya, must be placed on quarantine upon arrival.
While we understand their situation we should not jeopardize the community by coming home at their own terms and convenience, he said.
The mayor reiterated that the policies and regulations relative to the prohibition of persons traveling from or to other high risk areas and other localities considered by the municipal health office as red zones are still in effect unless lifted .
“We will not hesitate to apply the full force of the law against those who may defy our regulations,” Habawel said.
Lagaweans who wish to go home should coordinate with the following numbers during office hours: Mayor’s Office – 0917 7043623; Municipal Health Office – 09565147453; Lagawe Municipal Police Station – 09778027497 and MDRRMO – 09562464700.
Meanwhile, Habawel advised residents of Lagawe that travel to and from the municipality of Lamut will be temporarily restricted until the COVID-19 local transmission in the area is successfully contained. Exempted are authorized persons outside residents for the reasons of indispensable work, medical emergency or humanitarian missions. **(JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
