Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson wants the late Senator Benigno Aquino and former President Cory Aquino removed from the P500 bill and replaced by a real hero – news item.
I take this to mean she is serious about running for the Senate because this early, she is already focusing her attention on a bill.

“This is not new. If you will recall during the campaign period, [the revolutionary government has already been pushed by President Duterte. He said that he will do real change to our country and if he cannot do it because of outside factors then he has the option of establishing a revolutionary government. He won and the masses gave him this mandate so this means that they are all agreeing with his proposal during the campaign period.” — House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez
During the campaign, President Duterte had repeatedly declared that he will resign if he cannot resolve heinous crimes and illegal drugs within the first six months of his administration. In fact, he had asked people to kill him if he fails to deliver. Is Alvarez saying that since Duterte also made public that planned course of action during the campaign, the voters also approved of it and therefore should be acted on now?

During the Bonifacio Day commemoration, some descendants of the supreme leader of the Katipunan shared that they have been asking the government for a state funeral for the hero but that they are having a hard time as no one is taking up the cudgels for the cause.
My advice is for the descendants of the hero to approach the Marcoses. The family has some success along that line and might want to share the secret.

Zimbabwe’s new president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, started his presidency on the wrong foot when he picked two military allies, reappointed figures from Robert Mugabe’s discredited era and sidelined the opposition. This did not settle well with his countrymen.
As far as I am concerned, for so long as Mnangagwa took care not to appoint someone who thinks and acts like our Vitaliano Aguirre as Justice Secretary, Zimbabwe will be okey.

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez is open to the idea of abolishing Congress if ever President Rodrigo Duterte declares a revolutionary government. He said that Congress could be sacrificed.
When the Speaker next files his SALN, he should include Congress among his assets. He is carrying on now as though he owns the institution. It slips his mind that he is only the Speaker of the House, not the owner of the House.

In interview with Baguio City media November 30, Atty. Larry Gadon claimed that the pro-RevGov rallies are spontaneous.
I believe him — at least in as far as the Mendiola rally was concerned. There is a photo of the participants eating lugaw (rice porridge) being served by PDP-Manila mobile kitchens. They could not eat the food with bare hands thus the rally there was spoontaneous.
By the way, according to sources, there were only 60 at most who attended the Baguio City pro-RevGov rally. It was not clear if the number already included Gadon who graced it and the band engaged by the organizers.
